Love Steals The Show At The CentroBasket U-17

JLJerron Love is a highly skilled point guard with an impressive ball handling. The young prospect was born in Yonkers, New York and his grandparents are from Quebradillas, Puerto Rico. He is in his junior year at Wheeler High School in Atlanta, Georgia (USA). Also, the guard has helped his team to win the district championship two years in a row. In his first game at Centro Basket he helped the team to won 96 to 51 over Costa Rica. Jerron Love was the most valuable player in the game with 16 points, 9 steals and 7 rebounds. He shared some words with Boricuas en el Basket.

(BEEB) 1. Impressive start to the tournament, 16 points, and 9 steals and 7 rebounds. How you felt about your overall performance today?

(JL) I felt okay about my performance today! There were things I could have done better but I’m glad we got the win and able to start the Tournament 1-0.

(BEEB) 2. How were the preparations for this tournament?

(JL) The preparations included a lot of hard work from me and the team! 4 weeks of double practice! It’s starting to pay off so I’m glad we did it.

(BEEB) 3. What’s next after the Centro Basket tournament?

(JL) After the Centro basket tournament I am going back to Georgia to play for my high school wheeler! Training and getting better for next year.

(BEEB) 4. Do you have any NCAA offers?

(JL) I have a few ! Including BU , Cleveland State , Fresno State  , high interest from Pepperdine, Miami, and Uconn!

(BEEB) 5. Some words for the Boricuas en el basket fans?

(JL) It’s a honor to have  Puerto Rico on my chest! Let’s get ready to bring Puerto Rican basketball where it’s supposed to be! On top.
